Tent Collapse Claims One Life Near Busch Stadium in Saint Louis [Video]
Celebration turned to horror this afternoon when a tent set up at Kilroy’s Bar behind Busch Stadium collapsed in downtown Saint Louis.
Witnesses say a series of severe storms moving through the area whipped up high winds that caused the tent to fly into the air. Pieces of the tent broke away in the storm, knocking down power lines.
17 people were transported to the hospital by the Saint Louis Fire Department for treatment. At least 100 received medical attention for their injuries. One person died as a result of the collapse.
Cardinals fans had gathered in the tent to celebrate an earlier win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
