Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones wrote this song, which was inspired by his own feelings.  In my opinion, the addition of the New Jersey Mass Choir to sing the backing vocals was an awesome move, propelling the song to the next level.  With Jennifer Holliday singing backup, the song was destined to become a #1 hit on this date in 1985.
